The Hunt Has Come to an End

Over the weekend I was a little discouraged about this whole moving thing. I'd been to several apartments but none of them really fit what we were looking for. I said to Hubby, "you know how every time we've had to find an apartment we just walk into the right one and we just know this is the apartment we're supposed to move into? We haven't felt that yet. I hope we feel it soon because we're running out of time." We went to a few different apartments over the weekend and none of them were THE ONE.

But on Monday I called about an apartment and Hubby and I went that afternoon to take a look. From the description it sounded like it would fit our criteria but you really never know until you see it. The girl that was showing the apartment was the on-site manager and she had to show us her apartment which is the exact same layout as the one we'd be moving into but we couldn't see the exact one because the tenants won't be moving out until the end of the month. We walked in and it happened! We knew it was the apartment we wanted. It was large and spacious and fit our criteria and our price range! We loved the apartment and we loved the on-site manager too. And as much as we wanted to move into the apartment it seemed she wanted us to move into it just as much.

She went about finding a tenant for the apartment differently than she usually does. She said she didn't know why, but we do: It's so we would find the apartment. We feel very confident that this is where we're supposed to live and it's really nice to have that assurance. It'll be a little bit farther of a commute for work and school but it's closer to everything else. The only problem is we can't move in until about a week after our lease is up so we'll be living with relatives for that period. But hey, it's a small price to pay for the peace of mind that comes when you know you'll have a home for another year.
