Hoping, Waiting, Wishing

Still no baby.

I went in for my drs appointment yesterday and if he doesn't come on his own in the next week she'll induce me next wednesday night. I'm really hoping he decides to come on his own before then but if not, at least I know I should have a baby in my arms by next Thursday!!!

My mom says she knows he's supposed to be part of our family because all the men in the family always run late. Why couldn't I have a girl? :) Just kidding. I'm sure once I see him I wouldn't want to trade him for all the girls in the world.

Once he's born I'll have Hubby post a link to the baby's website here so you can check out all the details. Because I know you all want to!

I don't think I could ever be fat like this for real. Sometimes I forget how big I am and think I'm just normal. That is until I start running into things or can't squeeze between seats in a restaurant or have a hard time doing the dishes because my arms aren't long enough to reach the kitchen sink because my big belly is in the way. I'll definitely be happy to get back to a normal size soon. Hopefully it won't take very long since pretty much all the weight I've gained is purely baby.

And next time around (should I be insane enough to try this again) I'm telling people my due date is a couple weeks later than it actually is. Hubby's family has been calling like crazy this week to see if the baby has come yet and it's not even my due date yet! And apparently, most women go a week or two over their due date anyway. I don't know why they don't tell you this when they tell you your due date. It would help cut down on the frustration of having to wait even longer than you thought you would.

Longest... Wait... Ever...

My due date is actually a week from tomorrow. And as scary as that is I am more than ready not to be pregnant anymore. I can't bend over and pick things up, I can't squeeze between seats at restaurants, I can't sleep lying down, I can't fit into any shoes but flipflops. This is pretty much the most uncomfortable experience of my life and the thought of experiencing labor doesn't even bother me anymore because at least I'll know it's almost over. So you can imagine how I felt when I went to see the doctor last week and she told me I could very well go another week past my due date! The baby hasn't dropped and I've barely dilated so it looks like he might need a little more time before he's ready to come out. I think I cried for half an hour after leaving the doctor's office. I'm really not a wimp but I'm so ready to be done with this part and go on to the part where I freak out about breastfeeding and dirty diapers and sleep deprivation. Because at least then the heartburn will go away.

Ok, seriously, what?

Some people are totally crazy! I especially like the last paragraph of the article. I guess it's good to keep a sense of humor in a court of law.

A-Dor-A-Ble

I have GOT to stop looking at Oldnavy.com before I put us in the poor house. They have got THE cutest clothes for babies and toddlers that I've ever seen. I mean, how cute is this? They're like adult clothes but ten times cuter because they're in miniature! Especially their shoes! A-dor-a-ble.

Just a Suggestion

When buying baby clothes for a shower or baby gift it's a good idea to buy larger than newborn size so they won't grow out of the clothes so fast. However, when buying for future use, it's a good idea to make sure you get clothes for the appropriate season. Say you buy an outfit size 6-9 months and in 6 months it will be February - you don't want to buy them shorts and a tank top!

I just put this out there because until I became pregnant I never would have thought anything about this. I generally bought larger sizes so they could get more use out of the clothes, but I never gave any thought to whether the clothes I picked would be appropriate for the season they would end up being used for. I have gotten some really adorable clothes from a lot of people but some of them may never get worn because who's going to put shorts and a tank top on a baby in February? Not me!

I should be allowed to hit pedestrians who decide to slowly start crossing the street when the crossing light shows they only have 2 seconds left to cross and then my light turns green and they're right in front of my car, shouldn't I?
