Oh Baby, Oh Baby
Now that the sickness is subsiding and I got all kinds of magazines and samples and things from the doctor I'm getting more excited to have this baby. At first I was mostly just overwhelmed and not feeling well but now we're getting to the fun part.
The other day Aphrodite and I went through the Baby Registry catalogue from Target that was in the bag of stuff from the clinic and that really got us both in the mood for babies. She's not pregnant yet but it's still fun to look at. There were cute toys and fun little baby clothes and all things baby. And as women we just like "stuff" and we'll be excited to add to all the "stuff" we already have all "stuff" baby. You need a lot more "stuff" than I originally thought. And these catalogues help you realize that you need things you didn't even know you needed but now that you know these things exist you can't imagine raising a baby without them.
We're going to have to move when our lease is up in December because our one bedroom apartment is nowhere near big enough to house all three of us and all the "stuff" we're going to need. I don't think we can even fit a crib right now so maybe we'll have to get a little baby basinet until we move into a bigger place. I was hoping to not have to move again until we bought a house or moved out of state or something but I guess it'll come a lot sooner than I had anticipated. Hopefully I won't be doing most of the moving - I'll have a baby to take care of!
My 12 week appointment is on Thursday. We should be able to hear the heart beat and then we'll get even more excited for this addition to our family. At 20 weeks we should be able to find out the gender and we're definitely going to find out. It's so much easier to plan and get things (like clothes) ready when you know what colors to get (I know, I know, guys can wear pink now but I can't see Hubby being ok with that).
